Course Description
This year in 11-12 English, we will be working on Senior Project in the fall semester.  All students will pick a research topic (yes, juniors, even you--you need to learn this!), and write a research paper.  We will work on all parts of the Senior Project, which will be homework as well as class work. As you wait for asignments to be graded, we will practice our essay skills. After the paper is turned in, we have a short story unit to complete before winter vacation.  In the spring semester, we will read "Hamlet" and complete various projects related to that great play.

For my new Ls 9-10 English class, we will be exploring our book EDGE Fundamentals.  This book has wonderful readings, short but useful exercises and beautiful pictures!  There is even a great computer section, and I know those students who were here last year will agree that the computer lessons are fun.

Algebra Support is the newest class!  Students in this class have a regular mainstream algebra class, but need some help to complete all the homework.  This class is divided into 4 main teams (the same model as the algebra class) and students work together (with the help of the teacher or instructional assistant) to understand and complete the required work.  Students will have opportunities to ask questions, get help, and use the Math Tiles with guidence.
